Then that makes they liable for lawsuits, which will happen. Lawyers who pay attention to stunts like this are most likely salivating at the thought of a class action lawsuit. EULA’s get thrown out of court all the time as well.

I bet you anything Arrowhead studios is gonna not make any exclusive deals with Sony anymore in the future. I kind of feel bad for the studio who worked so hard on making a great game only to be fucked over by corporate middleman greed.

EH I think people are blowing this further away from the real issue, sure punish sony but lets punish the right people those cogs in the system had zero choice in ANDDDDDDDDD
Just like that its over, Its almost like you just vote with the old wallet and it ends I mean its that easy, They are not needed they need us to continue. The amount of freak out was stupid people were attacking the very dev’s of the game even though the same dev said refund our game review bomb it make it known you are not happy but 2024 people lack any kind of reading skill or even a simple thought process that you can make changes but GET THE FACTS RIGHT FIRST! lol This is why I enjoy what I enjoy and no one can make me think any different if they screw up they get nothing from me. ( Just to make it clear none of this is about anyone here)

I saw that and started laughing everyone was making such a stink over something so simple but at the same time people deleted their games and got refunds too over this, over reacting seems to be the default in these situations

So basically Sony Back-tracked a terrible idea because they saw themselves possibly getting “The Bud Light” treatment.
I don’t even play the game, but SONY did show their true colors this time round and the curtain was pulled back to revealed the Wizard pulling the stings. Their reputation took another hit, and gamers around the world took notice and most likely will be cautious of anything Sony in the future which could hurt games licensed by Sony going forward.
There is a reason I never buy multiplayer games that require online to play, as the chance of support for those games lasting the long run are very low. I know there are exceptions to the rule, but any game that requires anything more then local hardware to run is a risk. I can play Super Mario Bro’s on the NES just as good as it was almost 40 years ago, and will most likely be able to play it 40 years from now just fine, can you say that about Overwatch? Fortnite? Apex Legends? and now Helldivers 2?
