Liz mentioned that the nude Ecchi Loot is being discontinued due to US Age verification laws. I was gonna deny this topic originally but realized that it was posted in the legendary side not in the general area, so it needs to be brought up publicly.

I can now 100% confirm that the ecchi is now gone. I just got this months box (despite never getting a tracking number this time). While the box did arrive very early this month, I only got my smaller box which is the one that is suppose to be ecchi. Well my wall scroll (Darkness) is non-ecchi and so is the card (Tio Klarus). Considering that the wall scroll and card is of characters who are known to be exceptionally ecchi in nature personality wise, it would have been nice to see the ecchi verions. Oh well.

Hopefuly they update theit website to do the checks needed to sell the ecchi versions again, sooner than later

hmm, I know of other sites that have been affected by these laws, all they needed was an age verification and they were good to go

It shouldn’t be hard to do an age verification (Picture of Driver’s License or State ID card) but people keep acting like these laws forbid adult content when they don’t. Now do all the systems set up by adult sites work (not quite, there is a certain site that I can’t access without a VPN, because they say the selfie photo doesn’t match my ID after 20+ attempts to get them to accept the selfie) But if the echii is being taken away I’ll likely cancel.

Well, I would rather not upload my I.D. information to every random Adult site out there just to have access. Do you want Identity theft? Because that’s how you get Identity theft. Most these sites recognize this liability and would rather not risk the chance at getting hacked for the info then sued for the leaked info. The liability is just too great.
Now if someone would develope a third party verification client that you register with and gives you a unique pin number or code that you could use to verify your age with only sharing your data to one site instead of compromising your data to multiple sites just to gain access. Someone that develops this kind of feature could make a fortune!

I guess it depends on what State you’re in. Where I live there isn’t exactly the info that most want if they are Identity thieves (The SS#) hasn’t been on there for decades now, and before it was removed you could opt for it to be hidden. I don’t see uploading a scan of the ID being any different than showing your ID if purchasing something in a store that requires Age verification. And unlike ID and paperwork photographers require having to be kept on record. There is nothing with Age Verification that says as soon as age is verified the files used to verify can’t be deleted.
And with ID verification sites I’ve seen there is often a charge when you sign up, and in some cases every time your ID is verified. And with some those charges are 100 bucks a pop.

If they only took Credit Cards, that would be one thing as you have to be 18 to get one. But since they also take Debit Cards, they don’t work as anyone..even teenagers.. can get a debit card if they open a checking account at a bank. There are also prepaid debit cards you can buy at Walmart and load.
