So, for those who’ve gotten the November box, what do you think about the new calendar? While I prefer the old style with the pages bound together, the art on the back of the cards are a nice touch.
No gots yet.
I have mixed feelings. I will say that having the pages double as art cards is an interesting take. (Although it took me a while to figure out what that plastic stand is for…)
But I will agree that having the pages bound together looks more appealing. Maybe they could do something along the lines of having the calendar portions perforated so that we could separate them and keep the art portions. That way it becomes somewhat of an annual art book as well.
Still waiting on mine. I have no idea what it looks like yet.
I cracked the stand trying to assemble it. I admit my wife helped me figure it out.
My review is up on my blog if you want a peek.
I’m actually surprised I got the box already. Canada Post is on strike and they usually deliver the box. I guess the logistic company Liz uses in Canada switched to another delivery service (Dragonfly)to get around it.
Who isn’t on strike now?
Yeah I had mine and couldn’t figure it out at first lol
Me.
I mean you could be, But I mean between the VA strike, Writers strike and now Im learning about delivery company on strike lol
Not a huge fan of the new calendar. Mainly the fact that it’s not bound. One of the things I liked about the old one was the built in base, it feels less like a calendar and more like an art card display. To me it would feel more complete having the actual dates overlap the full sized print and not have it on the back of each month. Plus my January ended up with frayed edges, so that’s a bummer. Don’t get me wrong it was well done and looks nice, but the old calendar was better.
Yeah, weird design choose on the calendar (I peeked at your blog) The old fold open design worked so much better from the looks of it, but these are individual cards? that’s a bit different. Maybe it was a cost saving measure? who knows.
Me right now
Same lol
I just got mine.
They’re cool - I like the large art on it, but i wished I could see the large art and the calendar dates at the same time.
I would have preferred it was bound at the top, like by the coiled metal kind of binding, but I love it in every other respect. The stand is very cool, and the artwork on it is beautiful. So… it’s six of one, half-dozen of the other.
The old calendar used to be bound on the top and attached to a study cardboard back that folded into a A shaped stand. Made it so you just had to flip the page to get to the next month.
excuse the dust, and damn Beestie you was quick on that like…lol liked in less then a second after posting.
