Well most of the active users have moved on to a discord server as hardly anyone else here posts anymore. Many upset with the some of the recent going-on’s with the otaku box, such as the removal of ecchi from the box causing them to unsubscribe to it, then the sudden return of ecchi after being told if was gone with no hint of it returning, and the icing on the cake was Liz offering freebies to those who stuck with the box even though the ecchi was removed causing them to unsubscribe in the first place, as that was what they were there for, they felt that move was a middle finger to them basically. Then of course the new Tarriff surcharges, even though if it was only $5. Many felt this was the beginning of the end of the Otaku Box as a whole, and decided to move on to their own discord server as there was uncertainty of the future of this forum, as they didn’t want to suddenly lose touch with friends they made on here in case the otaku forum suddenly shuts down out of nowhere.
I’m sticking around here for a while more, but I also mainly moved on to the discord server as well, I’m also sticking with the box for a while longer hoping it gets better, and in case there is ever another Monster Musume figure (hopefully Rachnera), but if things keep going south I may fully abandon ship myself. The Waifu Monthly character choice for the wall scrolls in this months vote doesn’t help matters, as I want real anime waifu’s not original characters from a separate sister service of the otaku box.
Also most new users posting once and then vanishing never to be seen again, basically using the forum as a support site instead of what it’s supposed to be instead of just emailing support like they should be doing, never really helped matter much on the forum. There was only a handful of active people on here to begin with, with half of them being mods.
