Should we credit the anime’s it’s self as of how good or bad it is or give the creators credit for the creation of the anime

I know this may sound like a weird question but I keep thinking about this, the creation of anime is amazing and we’re always giving every anime it’s good or bad as of story , but this is not necessarily easy to do takes a lot of skill for a studio to create These Animations and to please the fan service as some studios do, I kinda want to see where everyone’s at in terms of opinion because some people just like any anime for it’s concept and art Btw completely Debatable.

All thinks are important. At least for me.

Well, the creators are the ones that make it good or bad. Basically, looking at story or graphics and even animation can make it good or bad. The creators are the ones that make it this way so shouldn’t they be given that credit.

I guess another thing is the anime’s that come from Manga’s or light novels.

I will never declare an anime is bad. I will merely declare that I did not care for it. As an author, I know what it’s like to get bad reviews. My 1st 1-star review simply said, “Sooooo totally not worth it.” Chee, tanx, bubba. Any reason WHY it was not worth it?

So, yeah. I like a show, or I do not. If I do not, I will simply stop watching it.

Those are both really good points.

Hmm… I don’t like Naruto, but I can’t say the creators aren’t doing a good job. Naruto is a success regardless my personal opinion.

So… in my case, when I say something is good I’m acknowledging the creators for their good work, but when I say it is bad, I don’t necessarily mean they are doing a bad job.

Still, I think the creation is always a result of the creators efforts… Maybe it depends if good or bad means “Well/poorly done” or “It (doesn’t) suit my taste”…

I think that creation part is most important and give a solid base for the further development.

Exactly. Naruto and DBZ just don’t blow my skirt up for some odd reason. But they are obviously good because of their popularity.

this subject is difficult: even those flophouse porn animes take a fair amount of time and effort just to produce. Everything from the packaging all the way to the production takes love time and effort so considering someone’s life’s work or hard work trash is very difficult…

One man’s garbage is another man’s gold.

chibi I’m not really into because it looks like to me a seven year old Drew it as opposed to a professional artist but that’s just my personal opinion.

Most of the hentai that I own is well produced to the point where he compares with shows like one piece and Re: zero with the animations, voice, acting, etc. just not quite with the story that subjective.

I have some weird taste since anime, so I just wanted to put that out and that I don’t really consider anything trash because the trashes devoid of nourishment or of effort and as long as someone port their effort into something it is not garbage

Well said! I’m the same I can’t get into Naruto, jojo, and mha. Doesn’t mean there bad just means there not my cup of tea. I’ve seen clips here and there and my god the animation is Insane for these anime’s, and I know they have a good story. I just personally can’t do it. That being said there are anime that I truly love that many don’t like and can’t get into but will say that the animations are awesome and good. Prime example Azur Lane anime. I’m a fan of the series and think the anime is awesome, but most people will say it’s trash, that’s there opinion. They have that right.

But to get to the original question I think it’s up to you as the viewer. I’ve seen good anime but poor animation, and bad anime with good animation. Just depends what your into. That’s the great thing about the genre there something for everyone. Literally there is an anime/manga for everything! Lol.

Each bit count :slightly_smiling_face: but yes the creator is above the anime.

I think that whether or not an anime is bad mostly depends on personal taste. However, I have to credit the studios for always sticking to the original source (manga) and not try to change it into something else, like you know… every Hollywood adaptation ever.

Reviving old topic  Making an anime is hard as a whole, so it would be better to judge individual specs
