For me, right now I’m going to spin up some Infected Mushroom and work on writing in my latest WiP. Tomorrow night I’m going to a baseball game (local minor league – the Midland Rockhounds – B team for the Oakland A’s) with my son and DiL (and grandbaby!). I scored 3 tickets to my company’s corporate box, so we get free food and beer and get to watch the game inside the AC.
Its wonderful you two have kids. I do not have offspring. These next few days. I’ll be catching up on Star Trek shows I haven’t seen, updating myself on Ahsoka, no spoilers on the contents of the show please, and preparing myself for a start on new anime shows I have yet to watch.
Well I work the weekends, life of a casino slot tech. So I really don’t know what it’s like to have weekends or holidays off. I been doing the job for just under 20 years. If you don’t know, when you work in the casino or any entertainment industry, working weekend and holidays is a must as that is when all your people with normie jobs have off and wanna go spend their money. Anyway there is a concert tomorrow night, with “Dazz Band” were I work so It’s gonna be busier then a normal weekend. I haven’t a clue as to who they are as I don’t listen to R&B, since I’m more of a rock guy…metal/grunge/alternative to be exact.
Anyway, at least I work day shift so I get off at a decent hour now and don’t really have to deal with the true craziness anymore. Took me 17 years to get off graveyard and onto Day Shift.
I’m just curious what some of you all do for a living, I know we have some older folks who are retired military.
Other then that, I have been working out daily and watching my calerie intake since August 5th. I started out at 212 lbs and was not feeling very good at that size as it was the biggest I’ve ever been and did not like the way I looked or felt.
So anyway I’ve officially lost 20 lbs as I’m now down to 191 lbs as of today! My goal was to get to 150, but I’ve changed that to 170 as it’s a more healthy weight for my height, and once I reach that we will see from there. So I’m half way there, 20 more pounds to go!
I actually have all the entire DBZ abridged series downloaded, lol. The kept getting removed and copyright claimed on YouTube so I ripped them off the site for my own collection. Was planning on burning them to Blu Ray disc one day.
US Navy veteran. Got tossed out on a medical separation 2 years before I could retire. Political move in our country by the party that dislikes the military. I leave it there as I’m not here for political arguments. Let’s just say I’m a tad bitter over that.
I work facilities maintenance on two of our downtown towers. M-Th 8-6, Fr 8-12.
That’s fine, it’s best to keep politics out of the forum as that is a sure fire way to start a argument and fight. Though I have to admit I am big into politics myself and follow several YouTubers for my news as the lamestream media has proven time and time again to be very bias and untrustworthy. But I’m not gonna elaborate on who I follow or what my leanings are to keep the peace.
I’m a laser operator in a welding/fabrication shop. Been there 11 years now and it’s the only job I ever had where I didn’t work evenings/overnights/weekends so I understand how much that blows.
I used to work in a recording studio and run live sound on the side. I still do the live sound now and then too.
