Know it well. Lived in Odessa many, many moons ago. Also spent way too much time in Amarillo. Really, I suppose I’ve lived in every part of Texas except far west El Paso region.
You got me by at least a few years. I was in 6th grade in 1983. These youngsters don’t know the joys of Tom Hanks in “Mazes and Monsters” or catching Kung Fun Theater on Sunday Morning TV (after all the church shows, of course).

Barn swallows. That pic is actually from the end of spring. That pair comes to nest on my porch every year.

It depends on the breed, some breeds can last 14 years.
