I am a semi-pro photographer with my own studio (Been There Photography – semi-pro as in this is a supplemental income, not primary income). How picky do you want me to get? Many have given some solid suggestions already. Also, apart from glaring errors (such as the glare from the over-driving light source on your last Albedo with a background), many photography tips come down to taste.

@Metallman I think if you move the figure farther from the screen you can get the background to be out of focus, which in this case would make the image better because as of now its pretty obvious that its an “artificial” background. Also the lighting of the figure doesn’t match that of the background, maybe try to get some window light over the figure?

Thanks for the feedback! I’ll try that next time. I’ll use a smaller f stop focus and pull the figure away from the background to create more of a blur. I’ll mess with the lighting too to make it feel more natural. Thanks!!!

I’m not a fan of busy backgrounds. Or, if you need to have a busy background, make sure it is out of focus from your focal point. Otherwise it draws the eyes away from what you want them looking at.
For the light source, try putting some wax paper, or baking sheets over them to diffuse the light so it’s not harsh.

I really love the idea of Albedo, “overseeing”, Albedo but I just couldn’t make it work. The perception sucked and i felt like the figure covered too much of the overseeing Albedo. I scraped the idea but i kept the pictures. Here’s the original picture and the AI drawing that was made of the picture. AI definitely brought my idea to life.
