i’ve seen some buff pokemon but i don’t know if those would be bootlegs or not cause they aren’t copying official figures but are unlicensed too but seeing the kanto starters and pikachu more swole than hulkogan is funny

The buff pokemon are bootlegs, but also art peices.
the difference between a bootleg and a knockoff is the following.
Bootleg = unlicensed original created product of an trademarked or copyrighted intellectual property
Knock-off = Un-authorized direct copy of an existing trademarked or copyrighted product.
Bootlegs usually take more effort to create then knock-offs.
