bro you must tell me all the tom cat stories that is literally my favorite aircraft it made want to be a pilot before I found out my eyes were a problem . I basically drooled over the one at pearl.

happy veterans day boys . Pics are from my last afghan deployment in 14’ funny enough in both 2010 and 2014 I was out of JBAD and Asadabad ( FOB Wright) my RCP cleared the roads and lead the Americans out of FOB Wright when we closed it down, we 65 vehicles in our convoy our RCP and all the personnel from the FOB we had CAS, Ac130, Attack air, Drone, Mortar and Arty support the whole way from ABAD to JBAD I cried a lot of memories there its where my friends fell too. The night prior to departure the 82nd had the same Arty boys that where there in 2010 manning the 105’s on the FOB they said the names of every fallen soldier from that area over the net and fired a lum round for each thats the Night vision pic. FOB Wright was at the mouth of the Korengal for the record all of our missions were into the Korengal from there in 2010

I transferred to the warriors transition unit in 2010 so I could be medically retired after Iraq from 06-07 se Baghdad fob rustimaiya.

i was in Iraq in 08-09, with the 25 INF Div, originally 172nd out of Ft Wainwright AK.
i was on COP Khatoon for six months then we whent to Mosul COP Rabiy and supported a cav unit,

I come from a long line of veterans myself on both sides of the family, unfortunately I was not able to serve myself due to getting the short end of the stick health wise, or I would have joined when I was 19 straight out of high school. Would have went the air force route as I had dreams of flying. But an eye accident in 2000 ruined any chances of that since I’m legally blind in my left eye (don’t have bottle rocket wars people!).
Anyway I salute everyone where who is a Veteran and those still serving!

SRA 45th Security Forces, Space Command. You guys make me feel old with your dates of service lol i enlisted before 9/11 and was fast tracked when it happened. Yet got deployed and got to serve on a special unit since I was fresh out of Tech School.
