Y’all get all the cool cons. If we get two stars at our hick con we’re lucky.

You’re in Texas. A third to half the voice acting industry is based there. But then again, it does take at least eight hours to get anywhere within the state…

The largest anime festival in dallas, A-kon, has been cancelled this year. Repeated venue problems and poor managemnt have been plagueing this con for years now. 2020-2021 covid crap started really putting nails in its coffin. Which is sad becasue this is one of the longest running cons.

Ben’s voice work was fantastic as clive that dude needs more work

As much as I love Final Fantasy (I’ve been playing since FF2/4 [US/JPN]), meeting voice actors doesn’t do anything for me.

I’m curious what else is there tho…

They have an absolutely huge exhibit hall dedicated to the console and arcade games. Of course there’s panels, plenty of vendors and artists. Concerts as well. And many of us go to enjoy the craftsmanship in the cosplays.

Well if I’m in town I’ll most likely will go over on Saturday, back in the day if I wasn’t on tour I used work Otakon, Baltimore screwed up when they let Otakon leave.
