Okay, not a snack, but a burger recipe concoction from a friend:
You like hamburgers? You like Japanese food? I got you covered.
I just made and ate this monstrosity. It’s mess as hell, but a flavor explosion in your mouth.
Season your beef patty with Japanese seven spice aka Shichimi Togarashi. Prep your pan with 1 tablespoon of sesame
oil
With the burger in the frying pan add a 1/4 cup blend equal parts sweet soy sauce and teriyaki sauce. Cook the burger at medium high heat to let that soak in.
In a separate pan sauté sliced white mushrooms and sliced water chestnuts with some butter and minced garlic.
Take the burger out when done, and place on a toasted sesame seed bun. Top with the mushrooms and water chestnuts. Then add some wasabi mayo, which is just wasabi paste and mayo. About a half teaspoon paste per cup of mayo.
I then poured the soy/teriyaki mixture from the pan into a shallow bowl and dipped the burger in it as I ate. I think next time, I’ll wrap the whole thing in seaweed paper to keep it from falling apart.
