You can see the scratches. Disappointing.
@Beestie sent an email oh about this time yesterday about the bad figure and no pop socket and am curious as to what her remedy will be for the figure… pop socket eh whatever but I know I’ll be waiting till the next box ships to get any kind of replacement or compensation. Crossing fingers and hoping this does f become a trend it’s definitely not the first time I’ve had damaged or missing items but this figure is just
Man, if you had only seen some of the Esdeath figures…it’s the only one I’ve ever trashed from these boxes.
did you peel off the protective plastic covering both sides?
@CyberCaster oh I have the esdeath with that killer lean…totally unable to display unless I’d super glue her to the stand or put a damn supporting brace up her back
Sadly, mine did not have any plastic covers.
Ok just checking, because every acrylic stand I ever gotten has had a protective plastic film on both sides of the standee. Usually it’s hard to notice at first. Acrylic usually won’t scratch that easily, but that protective plastic film will.
Anyway, if there was no protective film and your standee was that scratched up like in the picture, best to contact support with the picture to get a replacement.
Mine was perfectly fine, guess I was lucky that nothing in my box was in bad shape.
That isn’t a scratch on my acrylic standee, just a piece of dust or lint due to static, I checked after the photo.
Got an email back from Liz asking what was wrong with my power figure so apparently the sorry card was not for the figure.
So besides a few scratched acrylic figs does anyone have any other issues with their boxes this month?
@crabby358 it looks like the film is still on that acrylic
I found nothing wrong with mine.
He said it’s not, but I’m thinking the same thing with the scratches and how cloudy the transparent part looks.
Same, no issues with mine so far (still waiting on my second box to arrive with the ecchi stuff, my main box with the figure and T-shirt upgrades is the non-ecchi option)
The sorry card was due to a misprint on the flyer for August, as per the email i received
Aaah ok I must have missed that, thanks for that!
I re-checked the acrylic. No plastic cover. I even tried scraping it with my fingernail. It’s no big deal to me. I’ll see if I can find something to buff it out.
Be careful with buffing as acrylic can get real cloudy looking if done wrong! I’ve screwed up a couple pieces because I didn’t know any better at the time lol live and learn
Yeah, this is the first time I had something sent damaged. Honestly, it’s not a big deal to me. Don’t want a replacement. It’s just something I’ll pay attention to going forward.
Thanks for the heads-up. I’ll do some diligent research.
I emailed liz directly asking about the sorry card, mainly because i didn’t notice anything to be sorry for in my box
When I used to do scale models, I used plain Crest toothpaste to buff out small scratches in windscreens and canopies. Try it on something else before applying to your acrylic. They may have changed the formula.
