The Rebuilds are the newer movies, right? I liked them better than the series.

Yeah I guess to explain the Rebuild movies what Zoy was on about, the Rebuilds are a series of movies that are re-imaginings of the original series made by the director Anno and his own studio Khara. I wonāt go into detail but they expect viewers to have seen both the original TV series and End of Evangelion and try to play with those fan expectations. I personally do find them interesting and worth watching.
Basically the watch order is the original 26 episode series. Then thereās End of Evangelion, which is an alternate ending / alternate versions of Episode 25 and 26 made in response to massive fan backlash to the original ending, particularly the death threats sent to the studio by some of those upset fans. And finally after that, you can go into the rebuilds if youād like.
Personally I say just watch the original series. Then just sit on it, mull it over before deciding on if you wanna go further.

One thing Iāve noticed in Evangelion is that all the voice actors seem to be āShatneringā and the voices are overacting.
Or is it just me?

Picked up Cat Planet Cuties for $20. Just started the first episode.

Well you have to look at when it was dubbed, which was the 90ās. Voice acting back then was iffy at best.

Finished yesterday Princess Connect! Re-Diveā¦ soā¦ my honest opinion: it had way too much characters. Animation and colors are excellent. Plot is predecible and at times I felt asleep between eps that I need to re-watch. But at least I finish it.
