Just curious to see your recommendations. Haven’t watched many, maybe I’m missing some gold
given is one i know of it has a good story and a great soundtrack
For actual BL series:
Given, Sasaki and Miyano, Gakuen Heaven, Junjou Romantica, Hitorijime My Hero, Super Lovers, Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi, Strangers by the Beach, Mignon, Dakaratai Otoko
Implied BL, or some BL fan service
Number 24, Sk8 the infinity, Free! Iwatobi Swim Club, Hakkenden, Yamada Kun and the 7 Witches, Kyo Kara Maoh
That’s a great list. Thank you @Ellendil and @kirinkirisake
If you are looking for more romance type BL Yuri on Ice is good and so is Heaven’s Blessing.
If you’re looking for something more Yaoi than maybe try Love Stage. I will admit Love Stage is a bit cringy but I think it’s good.
I really don’t know what BL stands for, nor am I really interested learning since this is the Yaoi board area and I ain’t all about that personally. To each their own. I can take an educated guess as to it meaning though.
anyway Welcome to the community @Pinkfreak
Thank you, @Pinkfreak! Definitely need to give a short to Yuri on Ice. And welcome to the Community tho!
BL stands for Boys Love/Gay and GL stands for Girls Love/Lesbian.
Also thanks for welcoming me.
Welcome to the forum.
Alright, serious question: How popular is the Yaoi, Men’s Love, etc. genre? I’m acquiring anime for a convention and there’s the fanservice for the men like Highschool of the Dead, Immoral Guild, but what about for women?
I think Cherry Magic is coming out soon, there’s a sale for Hitorijime My Hero on Sentai. I probably should put one in for the variety.
Hitorijime My Hero is a good one. Junjou Romantica is another really good anime. Gakuen Heaven is decent. It just all depends on what exactly you’d be looking for. For actual BL though, the first two I listed are well worth getting. Lots of anime gives fan service, but isn’t really BL.
