back from the doctor, prescribed a steroid prednisone that tastes like ass. The test came back negative for strep but he said by the symptoms it still could be strep as the test only has a 60% accuracy. Other then the sore throat and such, I feel fine, no fever or body aches. I was surprised to see my co-pay had gone up and doubled to $50 a visit instead of the usual $25 it used to be. The prescription was cheap though, less then $2 for 3 pills.

Is it a low dose prednisone? Highly addictive and hard to go cold turkey on wont ever be taking that again. Rough times out here

20MG Tablets, and there are only 3 of them, one pill a day for 3 days.

Well I don’t have an addictive personality and I highly doubt I would get addicted, I hate taking pills anyway.
I used to smoke but kicked that habit back in 2020, went from a pack and a half a day to nothing, cold turkey.

I mean its a steroid its really not a option but you dont have 4 weeks worth of it, I was given it due to my ruptured disk’s and the come down of getting off of it was by far the worse thing I had ever had to deal with

I take Vit C, Echinacea & Goldenseal blend, & Vit D3 daily. Long with my omeprazole for heartburn and Allegra for allergies daily.
I work with the public, and in large crowds so I have to keep a strong immune system. I rarely get sick because of that.

It’s a small rant. Can we celebrate one holiday without being reminded of the next one? I was at my local HomeGoods store today and they already have Valentine’s Day decorations out. Good grief!

While I agree, they go by studies. People are not buying Christmas decorations this close to Christmas, as most have already decorated if they were going to decorate at all. It’s all about marketing, and Valentines day is the next big holiday.
A happy compromise with stores should be to wait until the current holiday has passed before they start putting up stuff for sale for the next. Real tired of seeing Christmas decorations going up for sale weeks before Halloween has even happened, and many stores forget Thanksgiving is even a thing.

While I don’t like it myself I completely understand why they do it. Between competitors and not wanting it get left behind and lose sales, and getting the edge marketing wise, etc. Still it’s annoying af to walk into Walmart and see Valentines candies out before Christmas has even happened or to see decorations out for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, all a week after Labor Day had passed.
No Walmart, I’m not buying chocolates for Valentines day two months in advance! Hell I’ve even seen Easter stuff out in a few places.
I’m thinking of opening my own store and just calling it “Holiday” and sell nothing but Holiday related items for all the holidays year round, so I can beat them all to the punch! Want a Skeleton on St. Pattys Day, I got you!

I still have my Samsung A42 that I got as a christmas gift 2 years ago and it’s still going strong, Smartphones and Tablets are getting more constant upgrades to the point where I can barely notice any difference, I mean, sure the phone has a better processor, but what would I need all that power for? Havent been faming in years, how are games nowadays? Are they a good as consoles / pc?
