@MakimaFeet I really enjoyed it as well and I agree that the gameplay was miles better, which was precisely the problem. The limited mobility and static angles of the original games added tension and made the game more immersive. In RE6 the game did a lot of hand holding and was very forgiving, while in let’s say RE2, you had to plan ahead and carelessness could get you killed. RE6 sucks as survival horror but its an awesome action game and I loved the multiplayer experience.
I was not talking about the OG series, Resident Evil 1 on gamecube is my favorite RE, hands down and I’ve mastered tank controls at this point. I was talking about RE4 and RE5. The fact that you cant move while aiming us just horrible. Also, RE4 is scary for 1/3 of the game. And The castle and the island horror aspects are being carried by a single enemy (Verdugo and Regenerator respectively). No comments for RE5 and its miniguns and tentacle monsters.
The real OG Resident Evil was on Sega Saturn in 1997
It came out on ps1 in 1996 though
Yup love this series, and how they made chris and leon finnaly meet in RE6 was awsome 2 of only 5 or so left from the raccoon city outbreak, still have to finish village
Don’t forget gotta replay re4 for the hundredth time lol
So tru lol
We can see how quickly time passes by the old games we played as kids…
@MageHeart that reminds of a comic strip I read but can’t find again. Basically it’s two guys that time travel but they don’t know what year they arrived in, so they ask a random person what game is Capcom currently developing. The random person answers “Resident Evil 4” and one of the time travelers tells the other “Could be any year”.
Anyone play ‘Shadow Quest’ on NES?
Really fantastic. It really made me laugh
