where are you flying into?
I’m going with one of my partners and a friend. We’re all getting together in LAX, going from there to Shanghai, staying there three days then going to Osaka->Kyoto->Tokyo and from TYO back to LAX.
Yes I’ve been to Japan many times because of my job and I lived in Japan for a Year and Half.
I studied in a Japanese Uni, and I hope I can travel Japan next year.
That sounds exciting. I’m curious, would you give it a try to live there, like, permanently, or maybe have any thoughts on why it’s not the best idea?

I usually go back to Japan ever other year and while I did enjoy living in Tokyo I also found it hard being a White Male working in the music industry in Japan.
@Moxie sucks about having a difficult time, but on the other hand it must be an amazing experience. I am saving money and I hope to visit in a few years.
The main issue is the fact that I’m a Gaijin and single plus I worked with allot of Girls J-Pop Groups, so I had to be careful on what and how I said stuff and I had to be very discrete about who I was dating, evening in this day and age many traditional Japanese frown on Gaijin dating Japanese girls.

so its official i will be going to Japan in April for my bday. ill be going with my sis and brother in law, would you reccomend a hotel or an air bnb.
Never actually been, the only other country I’ve been to other then the US is Germany back in the 80’s when I lived there.
