Has Anime been a gateway into anything else for you?

Is there anything that you got into because of Anime? For example Evangelion was my introduction to Rammstein:

Hmmm! For me it’s been just figure collecting and gunpla. Nothing really outside that though. Rammstein is t a bad band. I memeber when du hast first came out in the USA. It was a banger for sure.

hmmm… I think… work lol… I learned English translating manga to my native language and from that I became friends with some artists, ended up being a translator for a few yaoi projects and helping some illustrators find commissions in deviantart I lack confidence to do it more often but I write fanfics too, so… yeah… work xD

I can not say that it brought about anything other than collecting and reading more manga and light novels.

Its always alittle at a time but the confidence will come just keep trying and improving and it will get better. I sadly don’t have much talent in things i love doing so i just like to see others.

Anime got me more into the Japanese culture as well as even going so far as to actually learn how to speak, read, and write Japanese. It also got me into Babymetal!

I’d have to say thanks to Anime i got more into gaming. Be it anime games or just JRPGS. It also inspired my collections as well. So anime made me a well rounded nerd and i love it

When I was younger it got me into Japanese culture, games and drawing BIG TIME.

Oh my God, I love Babymetal!! They are so cute and sound absolutely fantastic! My wife and I have favorite song from them and it’s “Gimme Chocolate”. In fact, it was the first song that we’ve heard from them and it got us immediately hooked.

I think the biggest thing that anime got me into was drawing. Other things that went with it could be:

• Fighting games
• RPG Games
• Several genres of music (Because of the rise of AMVs at the time, such as Linkin Park, Papa Roach, Megadeth).

One of my favorite AMVs is this one “Cowboy Bebop - Insomnia”
